The Generosity of Grace

Hi Everyone,

Yesterday at Xcel Church we finished our series on ‘Grace’ and I hope you enjoyed the journey! I definitely learned some things, and we’ve had some great feedback from some of you on how much it has impacted you.

Let’s keep talking about how the Word of God is changing us!

You are amazing givers church and yesterday we launched our giving campaign to help families in need in our community. We have a ‘gift tree’ where different families take a ‘tag’ and buy a gift for a young person. Wow what a response, we used them all in one Sunday!

Next Monday we will send over two hundred high quality boxes of gifts and essentials to orphans in Moldova and you have given consistently and regularly throughout the year.

You are ‘graced’ to give and your generosity is astounding. I just wanted to say thank you again to everyone for your response, for your heart and your sacrifice and obedience. Many lives are being impacted by your kindness and generosity, some of which we will only see in eternity.

I believe Generosity flows from an understanding of the gift of grace that we’ve been given through Jesus Christ. Grace means unmerited favour that we have received and our response is to give out of gratitude and thankfulness.

Our Worship comes from grace and our works come from grace.

“And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.” 2 Cor 9:8

“The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the Love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen”

Giving is a lifestyle, grace is a person (Jesus Christ) generosity is the economic policy of the kingdom of God.

Thank you for demonstrating it so well,

John
